Brown Street Terrace
Brown Street Terrace is a beautifully restored Victorian villa right in the heart of Newtown. The house is privately run and is a treasure trove of art and artefacts. Although only minutes from King Street, with all its attractions, Brown Street Terrace is a peaceful haven – the perfect place to return to after a busy day in Sydney.
Brown Street Terrace was originally built for the first Postmaster of Newtown and has no doubt housed many colourful characters since then. The guest accommodation offers a charming bedroom with queen size bed, private ensuite and exclusive balcony. Guests are encouraged to make themselves at home and are welcome to use the kitchen and garden as if visiting family or friends. The private balcony adjoining the guest suite is a tranquil retreat with daybed and table setting; the perfect place to read or to enjoy a glass of Australian wine before heading out to sample one of Newtown’s famed eateries.
Please note the guest house is on the first floor of Brown Street Terrace.
